The Mexican Association for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles (AMIVE) was present this past Sunday at the presentation of Olinia, an initiative aimed at advancing electric mobility in Mexico and strengthening the country’s capabilities in technological innovation and advanced manufacturing.
Representatives of the association attended the event, including its president, Germán Carmona, who joined government, industry, and academic leaders in this important announcement led by Mexico’s President, Claudia Sheinbaum.
The presentation of Olinia marks an important milestone in the national conversation about the future of electric mobility and the role Mexico can play in an industry that is transforming transportation systems around the world. The development of electric mobility solutions not only contributes to reducing emissions and improving air quality, but also creates opportunities for job creation, investment attraction, and the strengthening of domestic value chains.
AMIVE’s participation in this event reaffirms the association’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the transition toward cleaner, more efficient, and more sustainable mobility. It also highlights the importance of continued collaboration among government, industry, academia, and civil society to accelerate the adoption of technologies that contribute to the country’s development and sustainability goals.
At AMIVE, we welcome efforts aimed at strengthening Mexico’s electric mobility ecosystem and reiterate our willingness to work alongside all stakeholders involved in building a more competitive, innovative, and sustainable transportation and energy future for the country.
