The Mexican Association for the Promotion of Electric Vehicles (AMIVE) had the honor of participating in the Tamaulipas International Energy Congress 2025 (CIET), one of the leading platforms for discussing the future of Mexico’s energy sector. Our Executive Director, Diana Avalos Morales, represented the association and contributed to a constructive dialogue on the challenges and opportunities surrounding electric mobility in the country.
The CIET brought together national and international specialists to analyze technological, regulatory, and economic trends shaping the ongoing transformation of the energy landscape. Throughout the congress, five key conferences and technical panels explored fundamental aspects of Mexico’s energy transition:
Key CIET 2025 Sessions
- Electromobility: Challenges Toward Sustainable Mobility
A space to reflect on current barriers—such as infrastructure, costs, and regulation—and the enormous potential of electric mobility as a cornerstone for transport decarbonization. - The National Electric System and the Integration of Renewables: Challenges and Perspectives
An analysis of how Mexico’s electric grid must evolve to support the accelerated growth of clean energy sources such as solar and wind. - Modeling Mexico’s Energy Transition: Forecasts Under Economic and Climate Variables
Insights into future energy scenarios, considering demand fluctuations, technological change, and global climate commitments. - Improving Crop Yields for Biofuels
A closer look at the role of bioenergy within a diversified and sustainable energy system. - Compliance, Safety, and Regulation: The New Environment for Service Stations
A review of the regulatory framework needed to ensure safe and efficient operations across energy distribution infrastructures.
Acknowledging the Participants
AMIVE extends sincere appreciation to all speakers and panelists for their valuable contributions. Their participation enriches the discussions driving the development of a more sustainable, secure, and participatory national energy system.
Our Commitment to Mexico’s Energy Future
AMIVE’s presence at CIET 2025 reaffirms our commitment to promoting public policies, technologies, and projects that accelerate electric mobility and the transition toward clean energy. We will continue collaborating with institutions, companies, governments, and civil society to build a future where electric mobility is accessible, efficient, and beneficial for all.
We remain dedicated to advancing electric mobility in Mexico!
